Eco-build 2012

IDDEA Ltd were very keen for the whole team to visit the Eco-build trade show in London last week.  We split over three different days and all enjoyed being immersed in the show.  The show was amazing with fantastic live demonstrations, new innovative products and old and new suppliers to have a good chat with.  I am sure the team will agree it was most worthwhile.

January, February & March 2012

We have had a phenomenal few months, installing PV on domestic and commercial properties.  Many clients were keen to get their installation completed before the begining of March and we didn’t let anyone down.  The teams all worked tremendously hard and all confirmed jobs were commissioned before the deadline, and the drop in feed-in-tariff rate.  We have totalled over 750kW’s so far for the first quarter of the year, and the future is also looking very bright.  We have also seen the price of kit drop a great deal in recent weeks, thus, enabling a similar return on investment to previous months with the higher feed-in-tariff rate.

An Inspector Calls!

We had a visit from the inspector at SSE to witness test the commercial jobs this week.  He was very impressed, and the whole ‘electrical management’ of each system was highly commended – 6 Systems all of which were just under 50kWp.

We also aim for 12 domestic jobs this week, and remain slightly ahead of schedule thanks to great effort from all teams together with good weather.

Thanks go to our customers for their patience during this testing time in the industry, and as always, to such a fabulous team.

week commencing 7th November 2011

This has been a very testing week, but as always the team has pulled together, and and has a solid plan in place.  As you maybe aware, the government has announced new proposals to cut the feed-in-tariff in half (to 21p per unit for retro fit PV installations up to 4kWp) with effect from 12th December 2011.  This has had a dramatic effect on the industry, in particular stock availability and workload.  We have a duty to those customers who have paid deposits for installation to have their systems commissioned before 12th December, and we are working Monday through to Sunday each week to crunch a 3 month calendar into the next 5 weeks.  We are already slightly ahead of schedule, and those customers can be confident that their installation will be completed in time.  We are very grateful to have such a solid, determined and understanding team and thanks go to each and every one of them for their continued support.  Following the 12th December, PV will still be a way to reduce those increasing energy bills and have an income on investment.
